Time

Inspired by this week’s theme at Illustration Friday: Time. In this lovely drawing you can see a cute cat (and it is by the way my cat! And its name is Yuki -means snow in Japanese). And speaking of time, Don’t you love and hate time at the same time? Have you ever imagined if Time is an illusion and was created by us? And that there is no such thing as Time? I don’t know….what do you think about it? I found and interesting short article about time. If you are intrigued, click Here (Hm…. it will make you think).

Tonight is The Three Wise Men’s Eve. Tomorrow is a beautiful Christmas day we celebrate with much enthusiasm and happiness in my country. Probably will update blog tomorrow or Tuesday with a new doodle inspired by this Special day. After this day, Christmas is almost over in Puerto Rico.

Respect the Tree.

Hello Friends! I remember  used to participate almost every week on Illustration Friday, since 2005. But then, because Life and its circumstances (some of them out my control) I had to make a pause (but not entire) to my artistic path and had to focus on another path (for a little while). I am thankful, truly grateful for all the inspiring letters and lovely feedback from people/ friends around the World (not only from my Country) that has sent me about my artwork, that is what makes me come back, and to keep following my dreams: to Have one day, my whole line of products and make it come TRUE. The Good News, is that is in the process, and It already started to become Real. c:
I created this illustration a couple months ago, but finally able to post it, perfect for this Illustration Friday’s topic of the week: “Tree”. Enjoy!
And this is what She Said: “Hey! Respect my Tree. Thank You”.

P.S. Remember to follow me on Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook and even take a look at My Shop. (Stay tuned, since I will be adding sweet prints soon!)

Hola Amigos/as lectores!

Gracias”.

Cute but Crooked hat

English below.

I have decided to post this tiny illustration for this week’s Illustration Friday theme: “Crooked”. She goes for walks with these two tiny friends along with her favorite cute but crooked hat. It’s been a while since my last participation for IF. I remember I did it, before it was redesign. Enjoy!

My Return in watercolor.

Watercolor painting: “Equinoccio”.

English below.

¡Hola a todos mis amigos lectores! ¡Bienvenidos Todos/as! Gracias por regresar siempre. He regresado. Explorando nuevas posibilidades. Retomando nuevamente el timón artístico. ¡He vuelto a pintar!

Hello! Welcome and thank you for always coming back my friends! Here I have returned after a long pause. I am currently exploring new possibilities. I am painting again! I am sharing my sweet return with a watercolor I did. Perfect for this week Illustration Friday‘s theme: Return. I am back using “old school” technique. So I don’t loose the essence and the touch that only a paper, pencil or brush can do. If you would like to see the whole process of this painting, click here. Have a peaceful week. With “majeakal” always.

P.S. Please, remember to be part of “Majeak Ann IllustrationFacebook Fan page. I usually post there First! And remember to Share the page with your friends! Thank You! Please, say Hi!

Fly away…

English below.

Fly away….. is what I sometimes wish.

Here I am sharing two illustrations from a children’s book  illustrated (not written) by me, while ago (“A Star for Mom”). At the end of this year, or beginning of 2011 there will be another book of mine to be published (El Dedito de Kiki). Below, I am posting two a sneak peeks. I’ve decided to participate in this Illustration Friday‘s topic of the week: Transportation. Until soon. Hope to catch a REALLY good STAR soon.

Impossible?

Possible, yes…

She opened that door, because she knew there were tons of possibilities waiting for her. The dog knew. She knew. That everything was possible. On March 13,  when I first showed this sketch, she was going to open the door. So she did. Would you like to know what she has found inside? Stay tuned…

For Illustration Friday‘s week theme: Impossibility.

This is a drawing I did a couple days ago on a paper covered table from Macaroni & Grill.

I left my mark there, I always do. But I wonder, if they ever keep my drawings? What would you do? O_o

Have a sweet week my friends!

Illustration Friday: Clandestine

They said to each other:

“The Clandestine plan must be kept between the two of us”.

Oh, yes, they plan to have a clandestine kiss, to love each other .

Clandestine Love. Clandestine gifts. Clandestine thoughts.

Clandestine: Hidden; covert; stealthy; underhand.

P.S. This sketch was previously done for another Illustration Friday’s topic: Similar, but it also work for this week’s theme. Hope everyone is having Happy Holidays!

*The New Year 2009 is coming! In case I don’t update before, I am wishing you ALL to have an SPECTACULAR YEAR 2009! Full of blessings, magic, love, inner abundance, health and happiness. It’s my wish.

Will they…

…kiss? Will they hug?

similar_sketch

I drew this sketch this morning before going out for work. I will be colorizing it for this Illustration Friday’s week topic: Similar. I need to make some time for it, to colorize another children’s book and to paint  “Mellow”. No more procrastination. Lot of things to do, while working on my personal project, hum, “my dream” (recharging my imagination with fantasy (oh, yeah, I have to) and with the company of my little creatures that sleep with me at night! to everyone!

Illustration Friday:Balloon

Watercolor.

What a coincidence.Yesterday I posted a sneak of a dolly I designed in 2005, and this week’s IF topic is: Balloon. The image you are seeing above was also created for the same project I talked about yesterday (which by the way, was a very significant post for myself, so please, any feedback or comment will be truly appreciated.

I am also posting a very close sneak of illo  I did a couple months ago for DaySpring Greeting Card (remember..the Advent calendar box?) I can’t wait to see it!

Acrylic.

Enjoy it! Have brilliant days!

Celebrating Life

English below.

“There are sparks that touches the little STITCHES of one tree, there are here and there, all around them, coming out from their souls interlaced in their hearts, touching their nature.”

Illustration Friday: Scale

English below.

The seeds of greatness are inside. Noni dances and balances her joyful yet curious life by focusing and looking at her heart. I relate this with the phrase: “What makes the queen is not her crown but what it is in her heart”. She is not tiny, oh my she is huge with no doubt. This is my contribution for this week Illustration Friday’s theme: Scale.

*Introducing Chet and Dot and her shop. She does soft, adorable, cute, dreamy plush toys and other sweet things for babies or big girls like me. I adore her work very much.
